I've always believed that Success is determined by transforming Obstacles into real Opportunities, so I started off on the right foot!!! Ostacoli in vere e proprie Opportunità, e allora sono partito proprio con il piede giusto !!!
On April 20th, at 8.00 am, I was in the train station in Rome Ready to leave for Brescia, where I would meet Paola Zadra (a very wellknown Italian bassist) to deliver the Bass built and customized for her.
Expected arrival in Brescia at 1 pm and I had until 3 pm to be able to meet her. But as soon as I arrive at Termini Station, I discover that all the trains towards Milan were canceled due to a derailment that occurred during the night!!!
1000 thoughts and worries cripped in my head but the focus and the goal of being in Brescia before 3 pm remained unchanged!!!
“"And now what can I do???" I run to the subway and go back home, take the car, fill up and at 8.59 I was already heading towards the motorway!!!” Corro verso la metropolitana e rientro a casa, prendo l’automobile, faccio il pieno e alle 8,59 sono già in direzione Autostrada!!!
Inizia quindi la corsa verso il Nord e contro il tempo. Si susseguono Arezzo, Firenze, Bologna, Verona…con il navigatore che modificava continuamente l’orario di arrivo in base a rallentamenti ed incidenti vari…
Fino alle 14.20, momento in cui raggiungo la destinazione, Stremato ma Felice, Stanco ma Fiero di essere riuscito ad arrivare in tempo e Sicuro che quel tempo sarebbe stato “Poco ma Buono” 🙂
So finally I met Paola and deliver her new Basso Brigantello!!! Basso Brigantello !!!
