BITTO is really a nickname
About ten years ago, together with the well-known Italian guitarist Federico Poggipollini, I was listening to the tracks of one of my recently recorded CDs. Fede pointed out to me that my full name was not easy to memorize and therefore I would have done well to invent a pseudonym, a sort of stage name for the artistic activity that I was pursuing as a guitarist and songwriter referring to himself being called on stage as “Captain Fede”.

All at once, with his Bolognese accent, he exclaims: I found it ... BITTO, you are BITTO ... it's perfect!!!”

Initially it was a bit of a laugh for me, but since then many in the music industry have called me with this bizarre but "perfect” nickname.

Actually my name is Pino Bitetti, or if we have to be honest, Giuseppe. 

I was born on February 22, 1970 in Lucania, in Paterno, in the province of Potenza, Basilicata.

I have lived in Rome for decades and I always keep the love for my Basilicata alive in my heart. In Rome I graduated in Architecture and for over 30 years I have developed the profession of Entrepreneur, Photographer and Artist (Rock Guitarist and Songwriter).
